Hello, I'm Filippo Livorno!

Hello 👋

welcome to my personal site.

I am a Mountain Guide, entrepreneur and self-taught web developer.

After quitting my safe 9-5 job at a bank, I've pursued my dreams and spent many years guiding clients on top of high mountains in the Alps and around the whole world, from the Himalayas to Patagonia (see pics 📷).

Along the way, I discovered I love coding and building stuff, finding myself (often at night time 😴) trying to learn on Codecademy, Udemy or on Techcrunch reading fascinating stories of tech entrepreneurs.

After the birth of my 2 kids 👧👦 (and the loss of some close friends along the way), I realized that mountain guiding alone was too dangerous with a family to back.

So, I co-founded a tech startup (since building a company is very much similar to climbing a mountain - but with far fewer risks). After successfully bootstrapping it for a few years to a very healthy EBITDA, it has been acquired, in September 22, by one of the major martech companies in Italy, Advice Group.

These days, I'm enjoyng life: growing my Mountain Guides agency here in the Alps with the skills I've learned along the way, launching my next tech company, trying to learn something new every day. But, most importantly, I'm trying to still have fun along the way!
